The idea of an audio visual label started with the visuals.
Or better, Audio reactive animations that I started making with VOID, an experimental visual syntesizer from Triptcip. Mainly for copyright reasons, I started making my own sounds, as the company did not want unlicensed music files living in their servers. At some point I was pretty much using a rack to generate signals that were interesting enough to generate cool visuals. But then, after so much effort I felt like the tools were there already, within my arm's reach and from there, making music was just another step.
At least that's how it felt. From that first step I started an art practice, and from that practice, a thousand other doors were opened. As I focused a bit on algorithmic art, I played with AI in many different nodes of my creative pipeline, landing on Machine Talks as a sort of serious inquiry-project.
Three short films and one animation later, It hit me: my interest in image-making with AI could benefit from its own framework, and Hertz+Eyes is the answer to that need. The form of a Label came up because it is exactly what it is. All the creations here in this site intersect one way or another with both my analog and AI experiments, and now the next step is to develop a fully autonomous pipeline for content creation and distribution.
I'm Bruno, the human-in-the loop. I take care of this system as if it were a part of myself, keeping it up to date and searching for a strong editorial line.

Machine Talks
“Machine Talks” introduces an unconventional cast in a highly experimental talk show. Promoting short, incisive conversations about art, humans, and technology, pushing boundaries of traditional dialogue.
Virtual hosts interview contemporary human artists, investigating their creative processes and uncovering the inspiration behind their work.
While the questions follow a script, replies from AI are only edited for clarity, offering a glimpse of their efforts in connecting with an audience.

A series of essays simulated by digital life experiences, approaching innovation with objectively human intent and awareness. "Algorithmic States" raises important questions for navigating the current social landscape.
